Bratwurst, lemonade, cake, a bouncy castle and lots and lots of rugby were on offer to around 60 kids from all over Rhineland-Palatinate last Saturday at the Waldstadion. In addition to our own ruggers, RC Mainz and the Honeybadger Cubs from Kaiserslautern were also represented.
In the morning, the children aged between 4 and 12 were able to improve their passing, tackling and teamwork skills in a joint training session. They received excellent support from the dedicated coaches of the three teams.
After the lunch break, the regular friendly matches continued and although everyone had more than two hours of rugby in their legs, the bouncy castle was fully utilised afterwards in glorious sunshine and old acquaintances were cultivated and new ones made.
We would like to thank everyone who helped make this wonderful day possible and of course the kids, who hopefully had as much fun as we did.
See you next time!

New in Trier: Touch Rugby
While this variant of rugby does away with hard full contact, the main focus here is on fitness, speed and team play. The rules of the game are simple. Touch rugby is suitable for anyone who enjoys playing, regardless of gender, age and physical stature. We play with a colourful mix of players and look forward to active participation.
Every Monday at 19:30 on the small pitch of FSV Trier-Tarforst (Kohlenstr. 57, right next to the sports centre).
