Trier played their first match of the second part of the season against Club Bonn Rhein-Sieg. Much was at stake for Trier, as Trier managed to beat Bonn in the first half of the season and was looking for another win.The game started under a bad omen, as Bonn managed to score a bold try from scrum within the first 10 minutes of the game, putting the home team in the lead. 0-7 for Bonn, with conversion. From the 27th of March onward both the men and the women team will train again at the Waldstadion in Trier. The new training times are as following:
Monday & Thursday at 6:30pm at theWaldstadion Trier (Kockelsberger Weg, 54293 Trier)
The first half of the 2016/17 season in the Regional NRW Rheinland is over and the winter break is coming up. Time to look back on the performance of the men’s team.

The first game of the 2016/17 season could be won by the guest from Bad Ems with 7:31. With mostly new players Trier lacked the necessary experience in playing together and the technical skills to score and prevent the enemies’ breakthroughs. All in all Bad Ems could score five tries and successfully kick three out of their five conversions. Trier only scored one time in the last twenty minutes of the game. At least they could successfully kick the following conversion.
