Kids’ Day in retrospect

Bratwurst, lemonade, cake, a bouncy castle and lots and lots of rugby were on offer to around 60 kids from all over Rhineland-Palatinate last Saturday at the Waldstadion. In addition to our own ruggers, RC Mainz and the Honeybadger Cubs from Kaiserslautern were also represented.

In the morning, the children aged between 4 and 12 were able to improve their passing, tackling and teamwork skills in a joint training session. They received excellent support from the dedicated coaches of the three teams.

After the lunch break, the regular friendly matches continued and although everyone had more than two hours of rugby in their legs, the bouncy castle was fully utilised afterwards in glorious sunshine and old acquaintances were cultivated and new ones made.

We would like to thank everyone who helped make this wonderful day possible and of course the kids, who hopefully had as much fun as we did.

See you next time!

Kids’ rugby day at the Waldstadion

Next Saturday, 8 June, there will be a children’s rugby day at the Waldstadion Trier.

Together with the kids from RC Mainz and the Cubs from the Honeybadgers Kaiserslautern, a joint training session is planned for the U6-U12 age groups from 10.30 am. After the lunch break, the respective teams will then play against each other, with the focus on having fun and gaining match experience.

There will also be a colourful programme, including a bouncy castle, during and after the games. A barbecue and cake buffet will be available.

Children who would like to have a taster are very welcome!
